THE WEATHER IS HERE… |
It is official…the temperature has gotten warm enough to really feel like Spring in North Texas. The club would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Ed Phillips and Kevin Megli …they have just completed the seeding and aeration of fields 3 and 4 at Blackwatch Park. You’ll notice that the sprinklers are running quite frequently, in attempts to keep the new Bermuda Triangle seeds saturated. This grass type is a special blend for Soccer Fields, designed to be tough, drought and wear resistant. Thanks to the proceeds from the 2007 Flamefest Soccer Tournament, the club has invested in a commercial, 32 zone, 128 head sprinkler system for those two fields. Be patient though, they aren’t ready to be played on yet.
In time and with continued warm weather we will begin to see the new grass blades begin to surface. Before long we will be training on them, but until then please do your best to keep everyone off the fields completely. Once these fields are playable, we will begin a rotation of closing one field at a time to give the other fields some much needed rest and recovery time. |

April 17, 2008—McKinney, TX: Announcing the 2008 Blackwatch SC Summer Camp dates and times. Come out and be apart of a great camp for boys and girls. Learn new skills, strengthen your existing ones, and have a BLAST with your friends. Blackwatch SC camps are run by the great staff of coaches, and will sure to be a fun experience for all.
